November Favourites 2020

I personally love reading blogs & watching YouTube videos of people's "favourites" recommendations, things they've loved recently, no matter what the subject matter, I'm here for it. So I thought I'd compile my own list of things I've particularly enjoyed/ found useful in the month of November 2020 for you to peruse at your leisure.

Rituals 'Ritual of Jing' Deep Sleep Pillow Mist - This was a gifted to me by two of my best friends as a (very) belated birthday present. I've literally used it every night since I received it, simply spritz a few squirts over your pillow & allow the gorgeous scent to help guide you into a blissful sleep. Plus the packaging is dreamy & all Rituals products are cruelty free, double win.

Long Walks in Nature - These have been my saving grace, not just this month but throughout the whole of 2020 & during lockdown especially. Be it in woodland, by the ocean or simply around my block & the local park few times I cannot emphasise enough how much being out in nature has helped to clear my mind, reduce my stress levels & help shift stale energy from my body when nothing else could.

The Outrun, Amy Liptrot - A memoir of a recovering alcoholic as she returns to the Orkney Islands where she grew up. Over-coming her addictions, discovering new passions & finding hope & comfort in nature's embrace. A powerful & poetic read that will resonate particularly well if (like me) you've also had a rather "colourful" past where alcohol is concerned.

How to Break The Habit of Being Yourself, Dr Joe Dispenza - A super interesting read about how our feelings & emotions can over time become personality traits which can then potentially lead to us getting stuck in negative life cycles/ patterns that we feel we can't get out of. Dispenza breaks down the science behind how we can harness the power of the mind to go beyond time & space & literally change our reality by changing out mindset. The law of attraction on steroids with the science to back it up!

Pip & Nut Almond Butter - Not much to say on this one other than it is one of the smoothest, creamiest, yummiest almond butters I've tried so far & it's a very welcome addition to my morning oats & chia bowls. Also a delicious way to get a cheeky bit of extra protein & vitamin E into your diet!

Neal's Yard Wild Rose Beauty Balm - I've had this one in my skin-care cupboard a while but have been using it more than ever now the weather is getting colder as my skin feels like it needs that extra little bit of love. Deeply cleansing & packed full of moisture I use this as an overnight treatment for my face but it can also be used as a cleansing balm (washed off with a warm muslin cloth after use) or as a lip balm or cheek highlight. This has a slightly higher price point than I may normally spend on a single skincare product but a little goes a long way so it lasts bloody ages & it smells divine!

A Life on Our Planet, Netflix - David Attenborough's newest & most powerful documentary (to date) highlighting in frank terms the harsh but true realities the effects of climate change is having on our planet & what will happen if we continue to hurtle towards self destruction at this alarming rate. It's not all doom & gloom though as David offers up several important solutions & ideas on how we as individuals can start making a positive difference now! A difficult but necessary watch.

Evolve Beauty Bio-Retinol & Vitamin C Oil - A small but mighty offering from one of my favourite clean-beauty brands. Not only does this product smell amazing, feel luxurious & brighten the skin but it is also bursting full of vitamins (A, C, F and E to be precise) mixed with nourishing rosehip oil to boost your skin with lots of yummy hydration & antioxidants.

Let me know in the comments what you've been enjoying this month.
